S.O.D. "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield

2/22/2018     Stephen Stills was encouraged to write this song due to the protests and riots that took place on November 12, 1966 on the Sunset Strip between young clubgoers and the police.  Local citizens wanted a curfew to be enforced but the lovers of music weren’t having it.  Among the more than 1,000 demonstrators, Jack Nicholson and Peter Fonda joined in and were arrested.  Shortly before this in 1966, Buffalo Springfield became the house band at the Whisky a Go Go club.
