S.O.D. "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede

1/11/2018     Originally performed in 1968 by BJ Thomas, who at that time introduced the electric sitar, and who’s version went to #5. The song was written by songwriter Mark James, who also wrote songs for other popular artists including Brenda Lee and Elvis Presley. Blue Swede took their version to #1 and made the “Ooga Chaka Oogo Ooga” quite famous.  The tune has appeared in several public media spots.
