S.O.D. "La Cucaracha" by Louis Armstrong

9/26/2017     Usually we hear these lyrics in Spanish, so here's the interpretation: "The cockroach, the cockroach / can no longer walk / because he doesn't have, because he lacks / a hind leg."  A cockroach has six legs and the song is purposely imitating the bugs struggle to walk, using a 5/4 meter which requires removing one upbeat from the second half of the 6/4 measure.  Ever seen a cockroach that looks like a dinosaur?  I have.  There are a variety of Spanish and English lyrics.
