6/15/2017     This talented newcomer hales from Easton, Maryland and was first discovered by Pharrell Williams at New York University during a master class in 2016.  She played "Alaska" in this class which she exclusively wrote for the occasion in 15 minutes.  The Internet boosted Rogers fame, showing a video of Williams listening to her play the song. It got more than 1 million hits.

Certainly her ambitions will take her far. An example of this comes from her senior year in high school when she turned a broom closet into a workable music studio and recorded her first album, "Echo." Rogers can play piano, banjo, guitar, and the harp, which she began playing at age 7.
