5/18/2017     Her career began in 1956 and lasted 40 years. Back then it was odd to change genres, especially from country to pop, and Buckingham became one of the first females to do so.  That was her real name, Bonnie Buckingham.

     Aside from the music world, she was a successful businesswoman and breeder of horse and cattle.  Of her 30 singles, this is her signature hit.  Bonnie is still with us, at 94 y/o.
