S.O.D. "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry

3/26/2017     A whopping 64 year career and who knows how long it would have lasted.  Berry was 90, still rocking, and had just announced that his first new album in 38 years entitled "Chuck," would be released in 2017.  Maybe it's still coming.  We'll lean towards that.  The record will feature his children Chuck Jr and Ingrid on guitar and harmonica, and it is dedicated to his wife of 68 years, Themetta Berry.

Before and during his career, Berry had some brushes with the law and served time.    He was quite well known for his on stage struts, especially the Duckwalk.  His guitar work led the way for many, pursuing the exciting new genre of rock 'n' roll.  Berry was one of the first musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on it's opening day.  Muddy Waters was the musician that really turned things around for him.
