12/2/2017 This tune, written by songwriters Drew Pearson and Greg Holden, Was particularly done so for season 11 of American Idol and vocalist Phillip Phillips. Not only did Phillips win that year, the song became the best selling song that helped an Idol go on to win, otherwise known as a coronation song. To date it has sold more than 5 million copies in the U.S. Pearson and Holden had never met until they collaborated on this hit. However it only took them 3 hours to write it.
