S.O.D. "Hey Jealosy" by Gin Blossoms

9/19/2016     You don't find too many bands coming out of Tempe, Arizona.  That means absolutely nothing of course because we never know where the next great artist will emerge from.  Active since 1987 with one 5 year hiatus, they have stuck with the genres of alternative rock, power pop and jangle pop, creating five studio albums, 15 singles, and contributing to seven movie soundtracks.  

     Their initial popularity was mainly due to the songwriting of guitarist Doug Hopkins, who composed this tune and also their only single to hit #1 on the Blllboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, "Found Out About You."  Hopkins passed on to Music Heaven at the age of 32.  This song is one of 6 singles from there 1992 album "New Miserable Experience."  The groups latest activity is to record a new album in the fall of 2016.
