S.O.D. "My Beloved Monster" by EEls

7/2/2016     You might be saying, "where have I heard this tune, it sounds so familiar."  Yes, it does have to do with a monster. One that can actually walk and talk and is animated. From the 2001 movie Shrek, it's just a fun tune with an animated video and a monster.  

     Mark Oliver Everett who just goes by "E", is the long-standing member of the group and multi instrumentalist who is responsible for most of the songwriting.  Other current members include Knuckles, Koool G Murder, P-Boo, Big/Krazy/Tiny/Honest/Upright/Royal (one person), The Chet, and Al.  

     They got their start in 1995 in Los Feliz, California with their main genres being indie rock and post grunge.  Eels released 16 studio albums and 13 singles.  Their 1994 debut album "Beautiful Freak" won the group Best International Breakthrough Act at the 1998 Brit Awards.
