S.O.D. "The Heinrich Maneuver" by Interpol

6/16/2016     The Luna Lounge on Manhattan's lower East side is where this NY City indie rock/alternative rock/post-punk revival group got their start.  Two Brits and two Americans hit it off well and proving so with their first album "Turn on the Bright Lights" released in 2002, receiving high praise and ranked #1 on Pitchfork Media's top 50 albums of 2002.  It would keep getting better with more successful albums gaining international success.  Their 2nd album, "Antics", charted in 14 countries and made it to #15 on the World Albums Chart.

This tune is from their third album "Our Love to Admire" and has to do with the book by Don DeLillo, "White Noise."  It's basically telling a former lover to piss off.  The song was written by all four members of the band and produced by popular New York City producer Rich Costey.
