S.O.D. "Gravity Rides Everything" by Modest Mouse

6/1/2015      From their 2000 album "The Moon and Antarctica" under the genres of indie rock, punk rock, and experimental rock.  This is the band's first album under the major label, Epic Records.  Because of this, much of their fan base believed that the content would be more polished, however it is anything but, as lead singer and guitarist Isaac Brock assured fans that they spent more time finding new and crazy sounds then they did polishing anything.  In the end it received much more praise then negativity from critics and fans alike and ended up charting at #5 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

After about half of the album was recorded, Brock was attacked by a group of thugs in a park across from where the band was staying.  With his jaw broken he spent a week in the hospital.  Then his jaw had to be wired shut for 2 to 3 months.

Modest Mouse was formed in Issaquah, Washington in 1993 and are still active today.  As far as I can tell, this song is just about what gravity does to things probably with a life reference from one of the members.
