S.O.D. "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes
4/19/2016 Appearing on the "Most Uplifting Songs" list, this 2003 alternative rock/garage rock release made it to a ton of other "best" lists as well. This includes Rolling Stones list of the 50 Greatest Songs of the Decade in 2009 where it ranked #6. Catching on around the world, it has become an international hit, being adopted for more sporting events than you can count. It charted well of course and received its share of media placement but how about this for a unique honor; at the 825th Hamburg Port Anniversary celebration on May 9, 2014 the song was blasted through the horns of the MSC Magnifica Ship on its way into the harbor.
The White Stripes were active from 1997–2011 and consisted of married couple Jack and Meg White. They released six studio albums, 28 singles and mostly dabbled in garage rock, early punk and blues.
