S.O.D. "Pigs (Three Different Ones) by Pink Floyd

3/25/2016     Yes, even though it's hard to believe, here's a weird song by Pink Floyd.  Released in 1977 from the album "Animals," the three pigs refer to three different upper class people who enjoy watching the lower class battle and squirm for every inch of gain they can acquire, leaving them to remain powerful.

Roger Waters wrote the progressive rock/hard rock/blues rock song which comes in at a whopping 11:28 minutes. The promotional version is 4:05.  Waters also provided lead vocals and instead of his usual bass riffs, plays acoustic guitar.  Tis the classic Floyd lineup with David Gilmour on lead guitar who also uses a talk box (the first time ever used by the group) to provide the sound of pigs.  Richard Wright played many instruments on the track including an ARP string synthesizer, clavinet, grand piano  and Hammond organ. Nick Mason kept the beat.

Go out and purchase this CD on which you will find not only pigs, but Dogs and Sheep as well.
