S.O.D. "Gypsy Road" by Cinderella

3/6/2015    Released as a single in 1988 from their album "Long Cold Winter".  Cinderella has made the rounds as a heavy metal/hard rock/glam rock/blues rock band.  They came out of nowhere and went multiplatinum with a string of albums and hit singles that were constant on MTV.  

     The band originated in Philadelphia PA in the mid-80s as a heavy metal/glam rock band.  In the 1990s however due to the leader of the group, Tom Keifer's love of the blues, their 3rd album Heartbreak Station, released in 1990 showed a more bluesy style.  Their debut album, "Night Songs" released in the 80s went triple platinum which showed the bands ability to lay down quite a few hit songs right from the start.  

     They have played alongside many popular metal acts including The Scorpions, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osborne, and Skid Row.  The Group has also headlined their share of concerts.  In 1991 Keifer lost his voice and underwent several surgeries to repair a vocal cyst and hemorrhage.  It was three years later in 1994 that he retained his amazing vocal ability.
