S.O.D. "Constant Craving" by K.D. Lang

2/8/2016     The Rolling Stones wrote a song called "Anybody Seen My Baby" which was released in 1997. The refrain in the tune sounds a lot like "Constant Craving's" and because of this, Lang and Ben Mink were both given writing credits. This is a 1992 Pop release that peaked in the U.S. at #2 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. In 1993 it was re-released and became even more successful.

In 1993 Lang won Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards.  She is of German, Russian, Irish, Jewish, Scottish, Icelandic and Sioux dissent, born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and has been doing the music thing since 1984.  In this time she has received Grammys, 8 Juno Awards, performed at the Winter Olympics and has worked with great musicians such as Elton John, Tony Bennett, Ann Wilson and Roy Orbison.

Patsy Cline was her biggest influence and while attending college she formed a Patsy Cline tribute band called The Reclines.  When Sundown Recorders owner, Larry Wanagas  heard their debut album he literally put everything else behind him to become her manager.  Lang can also be seen in a few television and movies roles.  The mezzo-soprano is also an activist for many causes and in 2011 was inducted into the Q Hall of Fame Canada for her work to establish equality for all of the cultures around the world.
