S.O.D. "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane
2/17/2016 Have you ever seen a heart shine as a light? Well you will in this music video. The song is considered a traditional rock piano tune and came about from keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley just having fun on the keys one day, imagining a beat such as David Bowie's "Heroes." There is another version of it floating around on the Internet at a time of 4:24 with an extra bridge. The standard version is at 3:57. The soft rock tune became one of the biggest sensations of 2004 worldwide and charted in 9 countries.
British singer-songwriter and actress Lily Allen released a 2013 cover that was more successful than the original. Along with Rice-Oxley, songwriting credits go to lead vocalist Tom Chaplin and drummer Richard Hughes. Hughes comments on the tune that it doesn't really have a specific meaning, just a place of individuality or a theme that is special to oneself. Fans of course interpret things their own way.
