S.O.D. "Hail to the King" by Avenged Sevenfold

10/30/2016     Here we go with a heavy metal birthday dedication involving our two youngest S.O.D. members, from one to the other.  Among the countries of Canada, the UK and the U.S., it placed on nine different charts and stayed at #1 for 11 weeks in the U.S. and the UK.  It also made the #1 spot in Ireland, Finland, Brazil and Canada.  Loudwire awarded it Best Rock Song of 2013 and it was nominated for Best Song of the Year for a Revolver Golden Gods Award.  

     The group's music has developed from a metal core sound to hard rock and heavy metal, drawing a loyal following.  Their debut album, "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet" was recorded while the entire band was still in high school.  They have now soared to stardom, headlining major venues including the 2014 2 two day Welcome to Rockville festival sponsored by Monster Energy which included groups such as Rob Zombie, Seether, Staind, Motorhead and more.  Nominated for 36 awards, they have won 19.  Seven studio albums have spawned 18 singles with 8 million records sold. They released their newest album "The Stage" on October 17 2016.
