S.O.D. "All Buttoned Up" by Richard Thompson

12/9/2015     We will certainly go back to this artist again, But right now here is the most recent  S.O.D. yet, released in 2015 from a musician who has been active since 1967.  It is from his album "Still", of which UK magazine, Mojo, named it Album of the Week in June of 2015 and wrote that if it was a new artist, people would  be falling over themselves to praise it, but since Thompson has raised the bar so high over the years, it's just what's expected of him.  Rolling Stone magazine chimed in saying that Thompson has not mellowed with age, his songs still being full of treacherous women and dangerous con men.  

     Richard Thompson is from Notting Hill Gate London, England and is a multi instrumentalist. More than 30 musicians have copied his works, including R.E.M., Los Lobos and David Byrne.  He is the winner of many awards, mostly for guitar including the Orville H Gibson Award and the Mojo Les Paul Award for "Guitar Legend".  Look him up, it's worth it just to hear him play.
