S.O.D. "Spanish Moon" by Little Feat

12/7/2015     Originating in Los Angeles in 1969, this group covered 11 genres, so ask yourself what genre do you think of when you hear a Little Feat song or think about what they stood for.  Roots rock is a good start.

Guitarist Lowell George and pianist Bill Payne are the founding members with George passing in 1979 and Payne still with the group  as they continue to rock.  They took a break from 1979 to 1987 and have had only 11 members in all.

This song is from the 1974 album, "Feats Don't Fail Me Now," which was recorded in Hunt Valley, Maryland.  It was written by Lowell George as well as providing the lead vocals.  Their album "Rooster Rag" was released in 2012 and contains new songs which hasn't happened since 2003.
