S.O.D. "Baby It's Cold Outside" by Frank Loesser

12/30/2015     Originally written in 1944, Loesser and his wife, Lynn Garland, performed it for their party guests, that took place at the Navarro Hotel.  After selling the tune to MGM in 1948, which pissed his wife off something fierce, it was featured in the film, "Neptune's Daughter" and performed by Ricardo Montalban and Esther Williams.  A duet by Red Skelton and Betty Garrett was also performed for the movie.

In the song, the male is presented as a wolf and the female, a mouse.  There are of course those who believe the song is sexually predatory, but in this day and age you're always going to get that. Since it was written in 1944, he was probably just aiming for entertainment and a money maker.  More than 30 versions of the classic have been done.
