S.O.D. "Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth" by Bing Crosby and David Bowie
12/28/2015 These two great vocalist do a fine job with these 2 heartfelt tunes. The "Little Drummer Boy" was written by Katherine Kennicott Davis in 1941 and originally titled "Carol of the Drum." The lyrics for "Peace On Earth" were written by Bowie and three other composers exclusively for this song.
Bowie didn't want to sing "Little Drummer Boy" at all and asked if there was something else he could sing which is when he came up with "Peace On Earth." Crosby may or may not have known who Bowie was but the two blended well and only rehearsed the song for 30 minutes before they performed it.
