S.O.D. "I'm the Only One" by Melissa Etheridge

"I'm the Only One" by Melissa Etheridge.  From her album, "Yes I Am", this 1993 blues rock release ranked on six U.S. charts.  Its rankings were #s 28, 10, 8, 5, 4, and #1 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.  Etheridge wrote the song and had a hand in the production along with award winning producer and engineer, Hugh Padgham.  

     On guitar for the track is session musician, Waddy Watchel who is one of the most in demand session guitarists.  He has played with many popular artists as well as  composing the music for several films.  In fact the whole musical lineup is legendary.  It's the story of your partner wanting someone else more than you but you're going to keep loving them anyway.  

     Etheridge has been entertaining since 1985 and is proficient on guitar, mandolin, piano and harmonica.  She has received many awards and accolades including being named Female Rock Guitarist of the Year in 2001, Songwriter of the Year in 1996 and receiving the International Entertainer of the Year Award in 1990.
