Then you're gonna realize she's right for you and you love her and now you have to work your way back into her life. The Four Seasons sang about such a guy in 1966 with 2 versions that followed. The first by The Spinners in 1979 that went to #1 in Ireland and The UK, and in 1994 by Boyzone which ranked at #3 in Ireland and France.
Denny Randell and Sandy Linzer, a popular songwriting team of that era, collaborated on the tune. The Four Seasons version hit #9 in the U.S. and only went to #50 in the UK. At the time, Charles Calello was the group's bassist and bass vocalist. This was the late 50s when they were The Four Lovers. He was a huge force in the music industry and worked with many successful artists as an arranger, composer, conductor and producer.
The Four Seasons are also known as the Jersey Boys and The Four Lovers and are in their 56th year of an amazing career. They have released 53 albums including compilation albums and 29 singles with 15 reaching the Top 10. "Jersey Boys" is a popular musical and film.
