1/29/2024 A 1977 instrumental from the album, “Heroes.” On the album you will hear Puerto Rican guitarist, Carlos Alomar, who has been featured on more David Bowie albums than any other musician. Bowie was definitely exploring his mind whilst making this track.
1/28/2024 This 2011 country song is all about laying back and taking it easy, with no worries whatsoever. Sad that Jimmy is gone, but he has certainly reached that point.
1/27/2024 Well, the year has almost come. Many of us will be doing this soon. This music was cleverly designed into four CDs. They can be played simultaneously, or any two or three at a time, and will produce harmonic, contrasting effects. Fairly ingenious.

1/25/2024 Eddie Levert and Walter Williams have kept this R&B vocal group going since 1958. They have been inducted into three music Halls of Fame. This was a #1 hit back in 1976.
1/24/2024 This song is a tribute to Sir Francis Chichester, who at 65 became the first person to sail east to west around the world. Beginning his journey from Plymouth in August of 1966, and returning to the same port in May 1967. Today, his ship, Gipsy Moth IV, sits next to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich.
1/23/2024 There is so much going on within this song and behind-the-scenes. Not sure who the female vocalist is in the video, and on the recorded version those vocals are sung by Linda Ronstadt. Simon paid for many South African musicians to come to New York to finish the track, and other songs, including “You Can Call Me Al.” The original recording began in Johannesburg South Africa. Blending cultures across the world is one of Simon‘s dreams. It will be nice if he wasn’t disappointed.

1/16/2024 A different kind of song than what you’re used to. Not much about this musician to be found, just a few other songs. Definitely an Eskimo, as is the language of the lyrics. A dialect known as Inupiaq. (Tilde over the n).
1/15/2024 We could probably create a music chart that can handle a song like this. Genres of experimental, neo-psychedelia, and freak folk combine to make up this 2005 “infectious” (Pitchfork Media quote) song. Catchy to both the ear and mind.
