1/23/2024 There is so much going on within this song and behind-the-scenes. Not sure who the female vocalist is in the video, and on the recorded version those vocals are sung by Linda Ronstadt. Simon paid for many South African musicians to come to New York to finish the track, and other songs, including “You Can Call Me Al.” The original recording began in Johannesburg South Africa. Blending cultures across the world is one of Simon‘s dreams. It will be nice if he wasn’t disappointed.
