S.O.D. "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" by Primus

3/1/2023 This 1995 rock song is about the beaver mammal. Check out the fairly amusing video to confirm that. It is also not about any famous person with the first name of Wynona. The song is fast paced with unique, skilled musicianship, and was nominated at the 1996 Grammy Awards for Best Hard Rock Performance. The rock/metal band, Primus has been active since 1984, releasing nine studio albums, and 22 singles. In 2022 they performed at the South Park 25th Anniversary Concert, which was televised a few days later on Comedy Central and Paramount.

Their are 12 former members of this band that also dabbled in new wave and art rock. Many artists were influenced by their sound. Their debut album “Real Life,” released in 1978, is considered to be one of the first post punk albums.

S.O.D. "Crescent City" by Lucinda Williams

2/27/2023 From her 1988, self titled album, which received rave reviews, and went to #1 on the Billboard US Catalog Albums chart, when it was re-issued in 2014. The singer, songwriter, and musician from Louisiana has been in the biz for 45 years, and was honored at the Troubadour night club in West Hollywood, California, on February 4th, 2023. After having a stroke in November 2020, having to walk with a cane, and unable to play guitar, by the summer of 2021, she was back on tour.

S.O.D. "Tattoos & Scars" by Montgomery Gentry

2/25/2023 From their debut album of the same name, released in 1999. The album did well, and was certified platinum in the US. For some reason this song was not released as a single. The country duo, consisting of Eddie Montgomery, and Troy Gentry is sadly one less. In 2017 Gentry’s life was taken in a helicopter crash in New Jersey. He was headed to a performance. Montgomery still performs under the name, Montgomery Gentry, and does so as a solo act. Hope you like this song.
